I have a coffee maker that has a fine wire screen mesh instead of a paper filter. It is slowly being clogged with coffee fines bound with residual oils. I can’t seem to get it completely cleaned out, I’d rather not spring for a new one when this one is perfectly good [...] Yesterday I decided to do my husband a favour and clean the coffee machine with vinegar. I thought by running two full carafes of water through it afterwards it would remove all the vinegar taste but apparantly the first batch of coffee tasted awful and had to be thrown out. Uh oh. [...] My mother in law was here almost 3 months ago and made coffee. And forgot to throw out the filter. So I just find it last night and it was extremely moldy. Well I took the filter holder and put it in the dishwasher, but what I need to know is if I put vinegar [...] I just spilled ice coffee on my keyboard like a “genius” (shouldn’t have had liquids by the computer) and it got under the keys.
