This washed single-origin coffee comes from Jinotega, Nicaragua. Robber Parker speaks of a cup quality that has a “toffee fragrance, vibrant acidity, notes of caramel and a long, sweet finish”.When I first visited Nicaragua in 1993 I can remember sitting on the banks of Lake Nicaragua watching a baseball game. The photos I took that day in Grenada are still vivid in my mind. It seemed odd that a country so challenged by an ugly civil war, funded in part with dirty US dollars, would embrace baseball, “America’s pastime” with such enthusiasm.Obviously, I was simplifying things but it struck me in such a way that a full twenty five years later I’d find myself designing a coffee with a baseball theme.Revolución as a specific name (more…)
